Gill was born in Durban and studied at the Johannesburg School of Art. She has studied with sculpture with Charles Gotthard but her preferred medium is watercolour and her favourite subject matter wildlife. Her technique is loose and flowing resulting in an impression which captures all the elements of the subject in its wild environment, colour, form, texture and even non visual sensations.
Her work sells well both locally and internationally
