William Timlin was born in Northumberland, England. Came to Kimberely in 1914 where he founded the Art section of Kimberley’s Athenaeum Club. Early oils and pastel works show influence of Gwelo Goodman, however his landscapes all reflect a sensitivity of light that was his own.
